What Does Your Warranty Cover?

When customers at Route 46 Hyundai purchase a new or certified pre-owned vehicle, they have a choice of purchasing a powertrain warranty or bumper-to-bumper warranty. There are differences in these two options we think our customers should fully understand in order to make the smartest investment for their needs.

A powertrain warranty covers the vehicle's propulsion system components, including the engine and transmission, the constant velocity joints and driveshaft. But certain parts such as drive belts and fluids, the clutch and battery are considered wear parts and not included in Powertrain coverage. A bumper-to-bumper, or comprehensive, warranty covers just about everything beyond what's covered under powertrain warranty, including suspension components, electronic parts, and the audio system. Glass, fabrics and other wear items in the interior cabin are excluded from coverage.

Choosing bumper-to-bumper warranty gives coverage for almost everything for a shorter period. Longer powertrain coverage is limited to powertrain parts. Be sure to plan accordingly with the staff here in Hackettstown, NJ!
